A search can be equated to an extremely flexible API, in that the Input the Filters of a search defines define what parameters are supplied and what kind of Filters are applied before any data is returned; the Output of a search defines how those parameters are used to filter out results; the Value Fields of a search define what data is returned

The Search Editor is the part of the DAM Center, which is used to edit any search.

The Search Editor can be found under System tools → Config Manager → expand the version tree to choose a product → choose product version → select the tab "Searches" by

1. Locating System tools.

2. Expanding the Config Manager.

3. Choosing a product.

4. Choosing a product version.

5. Selecting the "Searches" tab (or something similar depending on the selected language).

6. Selecting a search.
