Preview of MS Office files

Under certain cicumstances the user has the ability to preview MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint files, without having to open the file externally.

The limitations to the ability to access online preview of these assets are described here, under "Roles" section.

If the user is assigned a correct role and there are no external limitations, entering the focused preview mode of Word/Excel/PowerPoint asset will display the preview in Office Online.

If the online preview is either unavailable or chosen to be disabled by the user, a fallback icon is displayed instead.

Regardless of whether the user can view the document or not, it is possible to open the document in the corresponding application by clicking the "Open" button in the actions tray underneath the document.
