DC 5.9 - Deprecated features

With 5.9.0 Digizuite officially deprecates a range of features.

Deprecating a feature means that the feature is available in the software, but is no longer maintained. Digizuite provides alternative solutions should one of the deprecated features be used. The alternative solution is presented in the feature specific documentation.

All the below features are being removed with version 6.0 of Digizuite. The plan is to release a version 5.9, followed by a 5.10 in Q2 of 2024. From here version 6.0 of Digizuite is planned for H2 of 2024 and this is where the below described features are removed all together.

Clients that are on a previous version which uses one of the features are not forced onto version 6.0 of Digizuite immediately. However, new features and bug fixes are not backported and therefore it is very much recommended to follow the upgrade paths ensuring the described features are not used.

Deprecation of the 5-series of Digizuite happens in the future, but the official date for that is not determined yet.
