1.1 Digizuite™ DAM supports the following versions of Microsoft SQL Server.

Minimum: AMD Opteron, AMD Athlon 64, Intel Xeon with Intel EM64T support, Intel Pentium IV with EM64T support

Minimum: 1.4 GHz
Recommended: 2.0 GHz or faster
1.5 Memory:
Minimum:4 GB
Recommended: 16 GB or more
1.6 Disk layout:
For production systems with physical disks, we recommend using SSD or fast SAS, and use appropriate redundancy on a hardware level.
Disk 1: OS/SQL Binaries
Disk 2: System databases (except tempdb)
Disk 3: tempdb (or RAM disk)
Disk 4: User databases
Disk 5: User DB transaction logs
Note: For virtualization, please consult your vendor for recommendations about Microsoft SQL server, especially about IO optimizations.
High Availability mode recommendations for Microsoft SQL.

We recommend using the "AlwaysOn Availability Groups" feature, for a high-availability and disaster-recovery solution.
We recommend using the Asynchronous-commit mode, for maximum performance, and manual failover.
Since this not provided as a standard deployment option in the Digizuite DAM™ Center, we recommend using our consultancy for help in planning and deploying a HA solution.
Database mirroring is another feature for HA, but is being depreciated in future versions and Microsoft recommends using AllwaysOn. If mirroring is used, also configure this for asynchronous mode.
