Importing assets can be done in several ways, using either the built-in importer or UNC Batch ingest. The easiest way is to use the built-in importer.
- Navigate to the Catalog area and select a folder where you want to upload the asset.
- Right click on the selected folder and press Import to folder – the Digizuite™ DAM Center import window will pop up

- Click Browse to select one or more files for import. (Multiple files can be selected holding SHIFT or CTRL)
- Click Begin upload to upload files to the Digizuite™ DAM Center. Progress for each file is shown during upload – when the process is finished, the following message will appear:
All the uploaded files inside Digizuite™ DAM Center are maintained in their native format for highest possible flexibility. Further on, workflows enable files to be converted to different file formats and delivered to other Digizuite™ products.
An asset differs from an ordinary file by being a high quality file with multiple purposes and very high re-usability. From one single high quality file uploaded to the Digizuite™ DAM Center, it is possible to have several output qualities created automatically by the Digizuite™ DAM Center. That is the essence of working with an advanced Digital Asset Management system such as Digizuite™ DAM Center.
Note: Before uploading, it is possible to edit the metadata to one or more files using the metadata editor to the right.
