The Importer is an application designed for ingesting an arbitrary number of asset files and/or metadata into the DAM Center (DC). There are three basic type of operations supported:

  • Upload assets without metadata.

  • Upload assets with metadata.

  • Set metadata on existing assets.

Assets can be anything supported by the DC. Metadata can be in the format of any of 3 these types: Xml, Excel or CSV. The upload operation can be set up to automatically replace existing assets.
